Wireless Performance
The Deco BE85 supports Wi-Fi 7 Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which can transmit and receive across different bands and channels simultaneously on compatible devices. It also supports 320 MHz channels and the 6 GHz band, giving it access to wider spectrum and higher potential throughput than earlier Wi-Fi generations.
10 Gigabit Wired Connectivity
Its wired connectivity is unusually strong for a consumer mesh system:

Mesh & Backhaul
Deco BE85 supports standard Deco wireless mesh plus optional Ethernet backhaul. TP-Link also supports combined wireless and wired backhaul, allowing compatible Deco units to use both links together to improve overall throughput and reduce latency.
AI-Driven Mesh
TP-Link’s AI-Driven Mesh analyzes the network environment and works to provide seamless roaming and optimized connections as devices move around the home. You can expand the network later by adding other compatible Deco units.
Device Capacity
TP-Link markets the Deco BE85 for more than 200 connected devices, making it suitable for large smart homes or environments with many phones, computers, TVs, cameras, consoles, and IoT devices.
TP-Link HomeShield
HomeShield provides network security and management functions including device-based QoS, parental controls, and IoT/network protection features. Some HomeShield capabilities may depend on service tier or subscription.
Deco App
